Calvin is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Red Balloon Security, which offers Symbiote, cybersecurity for connected devices. The technology is developed in connection with the Columbia University and the Department of Defense and is patent pending. Symbiote may be installed on any embedded device, running any operating system, on any CPU and any hardware platform without requiring source code from the manufacturer. Symbiote does not affect the functionality or perceptibly alter the performance of the protected device.

Calvin was the Managing Director for the 
R/GA Connected Devices Accelerator, powered by Techstars. A seasoned technologist, his expertise lies in connected devices and hardware. Calvin has designed over a dozen products and has been the Senior Technology Licensing Officer at Columbia Technology Ventures for almost six years. Calvin was a mentor for Entrepreneur Roundtable Accelerator (ERA) and The Product Mentor. He has advised, mentored and helped over a dozen companies including Stappler, Trendalytics, Thunderlily, NimbleDroid, eBrevia, and MVS Labs.
